Edit Plans

Edit is the feature that allows you to edit the selected plan in the plan list and view details.

The selected plan is updated by following the steps below;

1. Click to Edit button.

1. a. Update the following fields in the Properties tab if necessary;

• Properties

• Select Scenarios & Define Scenario Order

• Platform Selection

b. Click one of the following options:

• Apply; to ensure that the changes are applied.

• Save; to save the changes made.

• Cancel; to cancel the plan change process.

1. a. Update the fields in the Advanced Settings tab if necessary;

It is the tab where advanced settings are defined for the plan. The fields that can be updated in this tab and their descriptions are as follows;

• Failed Test Retry Count; it is the number of times the test is repeated when the test fails.

• Parallel Test Limit; it is actually shows the limit that the company has. The number can be reduced on a plan basis.

• Upload File to Node; If this field is activated; it allows the files (test data files, configuration files, etc.) that need to be used during the test run to be uploaded to Testinium nodes. These uploaded files can be used in test steps.

• Maximum Execution Time Per Scenario; it is determined from this field. If the test is not finished in the time selected here, the system terminates the test.

• Bandwidth Type; users can select Bandwidth Type for the plan.

• Screenshots & Record Video, it allows recording of test runs.

• Capture Performance Data, it allows you to log your network activity.

• Set System Parameters; it allows you to set system parameters.The required fields for the parameters are below,

  • Name

  • Value

  • Description

b. Click one of the following options:

• Apply; to ensure that the changes are applied.

• Save; to save the changes made.

• Cancel; to cancel the plan change process.

1. a. Schedule your tests in Schedule & Notification tab if needed.

The execution of test plans can be scheduled via Testinium.

In this tab; 3 optional period types can be selected for the timing of the planning.

• Manually run this plan; is the option selected to run the test manually by the user at the desired time.

• Automatically run this plan; allows your test to run automatically at the selected date and time.

• Repeat; allows to automate your test run with selected date and period.

b. Enable the Notification option if you want to receive notifications about test results.

This allows the execution status and results of the desired test results to be sent to the e-mail address entered.

c. Click one of the following options:

• Apply; to ensure that the changes are applied.

• Save; to save the changes made.

• Cancel; to cancel the plan change process.
